Neurology

For more than two decades now, RMS has been the market leader in India for neurological diagnostic equipment. Consequently, neurology is one of the core areas of our R&D focus. RMS has two product offerings to address this discipline. Our Flagship product, the ElectroEncephaloGraph (EEG) put us on the global R&D map. The range includes an Analog 8 channel model to a Digital 32 channel Super-Spec Video EEG. Our present day machines are based on state-of-the-art digital technology and incorporate the latest features and utilities. The Electromyograph (EMG), which was indigenously designed, developed and launched in 1999, completes our neurology offering. RMS will, in the immediate future, be introducing the PolySomnoGraphy and sleep lab equipment also.

Cardiology

Our strong R&D background in electro-neurophysiology and pulmonary diagnostics enabled a smooth entry into the field of electro-cardiology. Despite being a late entrant, our Stress Test Equipment , a12-lead Tread Mill Test (TMT) is considered state-of-the-art by discerning medical professionals. Constant improvement and a strong focus on quality have allowed us to maintain a niche in this particularly quality-sensitive domain. Our machines are heavy-duty, low noise, precision equipments with extremely high reliability. In addition we have on offer an array of models for ECG ; beginning with our PC-based ECG (12-lead) to dedicated and portable ECG models to meet client specific requirements. Today RMS also offers the ‘Phoebus' range of high quality Patient Monitors . The models available are from single parameter portable models to feature-packed high-end modular patient monitors with connectivity options to a Central Monitoring Station . Mono-phasic & bi-phasic Defibrillators complete our cardiology range.

Pulmonary Diagnostics

The 1 st Indian company to indigenously develop a spirometer in the year 1985. This puts us in the unique position of even today, being the market leaders for pulmonary function testing (PFT) equipment. Today we have on offer several variants of S pirometers , our pilot product in this segment. Our contribution to Asthma Management is complemented with a suite of products, such as, Oxygen Concentrators, Dosimeters and peak-flow meters .

ENT & Audiology

RMS' entry to this segment was through being the first to launch the indigenously developed Brain-stem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA) equipment in India – an essential tool for the early detection and assistive device intervention for hearing impaired persons; specially infants. Since then, we have launched a complete range of Audiology Diagnostic & ENT Equipments such as an Advanced BERA system with ECochG, ASSR, Audiometer, OAE, Rhinomanometer and a complete Digital ENG Machine.

Specialty products from RMS are :

1. Polygraph – the first product from the RMS' R&D division. This machine was designed to cater to physiological research. Over the years it has been widely deployed in medical colleges & research institutions, pharmaceutical labs and veterinary research establishments across the country.
2. Lie detector – a variant of the polygraph, this product is of significance in forensic science applications specifically for criminology.
3. Digital Image & Video Archiver (DIVA) – this is a unique product which finds application in almost all medical disciplines, especially those supplemented by surgery like Neurology, Opthalmology, ENT & Cardiology. It enables the discerning professional to capture all procedures, as video or static images, while working with the patient. The footage thus captured can be extensively edited for later use in archival patient records, research, presentations and reference.
4. Blood Chemistry Analyser – The Semi-Automatic Blood Biochemistry Analyzer is a product indigenously developed for extensive blood analysis. It incorporates the latest technology for Monochromatic& Bi-chromatic readings. The feature set includes an 18 m l flowcell, 7 test modes, 7 filters (8 th  Filter optional) and 150 test sets storage in memory with 1000 test results. In addition the real time optical density change display with largest LCD in its segment, 25 hot keys, thermal printer, idle lamp warning, patient ID linked reporting, peltier controlled temperature (25, 30 & 37 ° C) & repeat sample measurement facilities make it a true value-for-money product.
